Halloween is almost here. Did you buy your candy yet? It's always nice for the children when it falls on a Saturday as it does this year. They can stay up late, eat lots of trick or treat junk, and be sick on Sunday. Thanks for stopping by the cottage for a trip down memory lane. ♥Rosemary

Adorable pics! LOVE Barbar! Memories!
Love the vintage Halloween images. But not the crying baby! Who made him wear that?!
I had the Babar books and never truly enjoyed the stories, only the illustrations. There wasn't enough laughter in those books. I suppose it's a French thing.
The photo of the girl representing the Hans Holbein painting was adorable. I read "Portrait of an Unknown Woman" by Vanora Bennett last year and it tells a lovely story about that painting and the woman who may have inspired it.
I'm a new subscriber and so grateful for the time you put into sharing these images and thoughts with us, and I quite envy your life. "Content" is just about the best word in the language, and a cottage is the best place to be.
A little of everything--your Halloween images. So fun! (especially liked the Babar one)
I have my candy already and have been good--have not eaten any(I try to buy the sticky stuff. If I bought chocolate of any kind, I would be more tempted)
Such wonderful Halloween images Rosemary! I've just put out my Halloween sign on our front verge, so hope to have lots of little Trick or Treaters calling in tonight.
Millie ^_^
