Abandoned Piglet Adopted by Giant Farm Dog
Abandoned piglet is lost and hound: Giant farm dog saves baby pig's bacon by adopting it as one of its own
"A giant farm dog and a tiny piglet cuddle up as if they were family after the baby runt was dismissed by its own mother." Click on the link and read this heart-warming story. Aren't dogs the best?

Sunrise Over Fields of Flowers
Here's hoping your day is as lovely as this photo. That sun looks hot, doesn't it? I went to the library in Morristown just before it closed at 5pm yesterday. The time and temperature sign on the bank I passed on the way registered 95 degrees. It was way too hot for me but I mowed grass anyway. I'll finish my hand trimming this morning while it's still cool. See you later, Rosemary

Goodnight, Time For A Movie
I'm about as tired as this pile of spotted puppies sleeping on the painter's drop cloth. Think I'll pop a movie in the DVD player and enjoy the evening. Sleep tight when you turn in. See you tomorrow, Rosemary.

Mattie Lou O'Kelley | Spring Paintings
Mattie Lou O'Kelley didn't start painting until she was 60. This self-taught Georgia artist was quite prolific until her passing at age 89 in 1997. Read her obituary in The New York Times.
She also wrote poetry, which was as homely as her canvases:
"Now my one room house has only me,
I never roam,
No lessons have I. But I paint
And paint
And stay at home."

Ginger | Antique Botanical Print
I never knew what ginger looked like. It's beautiful. I found this image in a magazine and photographed it. It's supposed to be 87 degrees today. Glad I got a jump on my mowing yesterday. I shall only work in the shade today. Have a good Saturday, Rosemary.

Beauty is in the Eye of the Beholder | Potbellied Pig
This pig looks happy, doesn't he? Have a great weekend and get outside. I wish some animal would eat my grass. I mowed my upper and middle fields with my riding mower today and it felt great. The mower started right up after being in the garage all winter. I was so happy!

Repurposed Office Door Hung On Barn Sliders
By now you know how much I love sliding interior doors hung barn style. I would never have thought of using an old office door outside a bathroom but I love this idea, don't you. This treatment was used in an Alabama log cabin.
