Mark Twain quote about spring . . .
This is so true...especially today. I woke up to snow. Two hours later it has already melted. Such a strange and wonderful first day of spring.
What is it like in your neck of the woods?
Mother Nature is laughing . . .
This is the reality of the first day of spring at my house!
I couldn't believe my eyes when I woke up this morning to a wet snow. Webster couldn't believe it either as he looks out of the studio window trying to remember playing with his soccer ball yesterday after the rain. That's my tv in the middle. I have it on an old revolving potter's stand that is perfect. I can watch television and look out the windows at the same time.
Mother Nature is having a great big laugh. I really don't care as long as the white stuff doesn't get deep enough to plow.

Timely George Washington Quote about Debt . . .
Isn't this the best quote you've seen in ages? It is over 200 years old and still rings true. Too bad it is not practiced. Our national debt is incomrehensible to me.
Image is a scan of one of my early 19th century antiquarian prints. Engraved by A. Daggett from the original painting by Colonel Trumbull.

Life List | Best video book review ever . . .
This is the true story of a woman with only one year to live who decided to see every bird in the world. Click on the image and/or link above and you will be transported to the best video book review I have ever seen.
It was awesome, wasn't it? Don't you want to read this book too?

Miniature Antique Painted Rocker . . .
I picked up this tiny comb-back windsor rocker in original paint at a house sale years ago. It is another of my favorite things. I photographed it next to an apple for scale.
I read somewhere that dust is a great preservative. I really wish I didn't know that as I look at all the 'preservative' on the seat!
There must be something going on with my planets and stars because I have been a cleaning fool the last couple of days. Most unusual for me. I really want to get my house together before I have to spend all of my time taking care of the great outdoors. Plus I will be busy with a new real estate listing which will take a big chunk of my time. I am just getting everything all neat and tidy so my mind will be right.
I signed up for Twitter today and already have some followers. I think it's going to be fun. I heard on the news last night that Twitter has surpassed email as a means of communication. That convinced me to jump in too. See my sidebar if you want to follow along. I will let you know how it goes.
Thanks for stopping by. ♥Rosemary

Elizabeth Barrett Browning Quote . . .
This brass letter clip is one of my favorite things. When I placed it on an antiquarian music book, I got the perfect image for this quote.
