Webster in the Tall Grass
Webster likes that I am leaving lots more natural areas this year so he can hide and hunt in the tall grass for snakes. It is dark now and raining. That is fine with me as long as it stops by morning. Fingers crossed. Goodnight. See you tomorrow.

Wild Yellow Honeysuckle
Life is good. My wild honeysuckle is blooming and I saw a Baltimore Oriole today. I was able to photograph the honeysuckle but the bird was gone by the time I grabbed my camera. Hopefully I'll get another chance. I love the way the sun was shining through these fragrant yellow blossoms. Have a great Memorial Day weekend, Rosemary.

Smell The Flower
This is a picture of me when I was a baby holding up a flower for the photographer to smell. I think my grandmother probably made the romper and embroidered the dog on the front. I miss those wavy edges on old pictures, don't you? Someone should make a paper cutter that replicates that edge. I wish I had an old one. Notice I tagged my photo under antiques.

EWG's 2010 Sunscreen Guide
EWG's 2010 Sunscreen Guide: "EWG’s fourth annual Sunscreen Guide gives low marks to the current crop of sunscreen products, with a few notable exceptions. EWG researchers recommend only 39 – 8 percent – of 500 beach and sport sunscreens for this season.
The reason? A surge in exaggerated SPF claims above 50 and new disclosures about potentially hazardous ingredients, in particular recently developed government data linking vitamin A to accelerated growth of skin tumors and lesions. Learn more."
I found this thanks to my friend Lynn and wouldn't you know the stuff I've been using (Neutrogena) is BAD. We just have to educate ourselves as best we can. Please read everything and be prepared for the sun this summer. Another friend of mine is at the hospital right this very minute with a first-grade blonde son who is having his second surgery this spring for sun-related damage on his head and face.

The Huffington Post first reported this on May 24th. Throw out all your bad sunscreen and get something good before you go out in the sun again.

Goodnight From My Island Bedroom
I love this island bedroom, don't you? It was cool today and now it's almost dark and raining. I had to put on a sweater so I'm nice and cozy still enjoying my book.

Diane Keaton, Ellen Page to Star in HBO Series About Blogging
Diane Keaton, Ellen Page to Star in HBO's Tilda
"Diane Keaton and Ellen Page have been cast in HBO's new Hollywood blogger pilot called TILDA.
Keaton, 64, will play the title character, a powerful and greatly feared Hollywood blogger, in the half-hour comedy. Ellen Page, 23, will costar as a creative assistant named Carolyn who's torn between following the corporate culture of her studio and following Tilda, who has a great interest in her.
Page will next be seen in this summer's Inception and Keaton will appear on the big screen in Morning Glory, due out this fall."
This sounds good. You know I love Diane Keaton and I just happen to like Ellen Page too. Sounds like a winner! Wonder when the series starts? I can't believe this news breaks just as I look at a note to myself on my desk to cancel HBO. I might have to rethink this action.

Cottage for Sale, Must be Moved | Currently Reading
[Click either photo to enlarge]
Sometimes I think I definitely have a fairy god mother who puts books I might like in the free book bin at the Post Office. I actually pounced on this one like a hen on a June bug as they say in the south. I just started it and love it already. Perfect reading for a hot almost summer day. It is sizzling outside at 92 degrees. I have a fan blowing directly at my face so I'm fine.

A Pond Would Be Fun
I never want another swimming pool after having had one. They are too much work but I wouldn't mind having a pond. This one appears to be a natural swimming hole too. My new listing has one that is full of bull frogs and I love sitting at open houses hearing them croak all day.

Four Story Townhouse With Cozy Interior Design
The renovation of this 4 story townhouse in center Park Slope is one of the first projects by The Brooklyn Home Company. It’s a great example how cool could be combination of vintage and modern elements in the one interior. The main color theme in this interior is a combination of white and natural wood of different hues. It works very well and everything looks very cozy and livable. The home is flooded with natural light through double hung windows. Click on the link to see a 12-photo slide show of this amazing renovation. I could have posted each and every one of the photos I liked them all so much. You will too...guaranteed!
