A French Bulldog Puppy Comes To Visit
Meet Piggie. He will be our house guest for the remainder of November. Webster and I are so excited. So far, both dogs have been on their best behavior. The 6-month-old puppy is quiet, well behaved and very mellow. Webster and I are in love.
My routine has gone out the window for sure. It's either play time, nap time or lap time around the clock now.

I'd Love To Sleep Here Tonight
I've decided that this would be a wonderful place to sleep tonight. A real tree house with a room on the ground floor and a window too. The moon was only a sliver the last time I looked My moon tonight is almost identical to this one and my daytime sky looked very much the same with big puffy clouds. I'm sure I will have sweet dreams on my mattress stuffed with milkweed down. I hope the owls come and perch on the limbs of this magnificent beech tree and serenade me to sleep.

Small Kitchen Love
A very nice galley kitchen indeed; wouldn't you agree? I don't think I've ever seen a full cabinet like this in front of a sink without a wide apron top. It looks like a happy space. We are having a light rain at the cottage today . . . the kind you can walk in and not even care. Webster and I were out before 7am for a quick walk while the coffee was brewing. I'd love to spend the day in my pjs but can't because of my weekly office meeting. See you later.

Diane Keaton Interview on CBS Sunday Morning
She is hilarious. I watched this live on Sunday Morning and Diane Keaton made me laugh out loud. There is an ad you will have to watch before the video starts. Use this link if the video doesn't work.
Diane Keaton's Ups and Downs: How will Diane Keaton's performance in her new movie, "Morning Glory," measure up to her performance in "Annie Hall?" Katie Couric spoke with the Oscar winning actress on that as well as Keaton's Hollywood romances and her life raising two children.

Diane Keaton Likes To Hide in Plain Sight
Diane Keaton’s Disappearing Acts: The actress has spent the better part of a near 40-year film career playing an assortment of tentative, endearingly flighty characters, masking her allure beneath layers of cloth. Click on the first link to view a 15-photo slideshow from The New York Times. Read the article too Diane Keaton, Hiding in Plain Site.

An Amazing Kitchen
This kitchen might be a little too dark for me in real life but I really do love it. Do you think it's a trophy kitchen? It's probably in a NYC apartment where little cooking is done and it's always the cocktail hour. Viera thinks the paint color might be Hague Blue by Farrow & Ball. I wish I could peek around the corner and see more.
Shadows On My Wall This Morning
The morning shadows were especially nice on this wall in my kitchen just now. Luckily my camera was nearby and I grabbed it after letting Webster out for a quickie. Another wonderful fall day awaits me and I'm so glad to be able to get an early start this morning. After I get my coffee fix who knows what can happen. Enjoy your day.

Orbit The Orphaned Owl Loves His Stuffed Toy
In his five short weeks of life, Orbit hasn’t met many other owls.
So he isn’t at all worried that his new best friend doesn’t hoot back.
The orphaned chick is perfectly content in the company of the stuffed bird perched next to him and is never far from his side.
Orbit, a common barn owl, was given the toy by Lyndsey Wood, his care giver at Folly Farm, near Narberth in West Wales.
She said: ‘A friend suggested that I find something like a toy owl to stop Orbit from feeling lonely. I thought he might try to eat it, but he just cuddles up to it and goes to sleep.’
All you need is a friend. Somehow I keep finding these wonderful stories about orphaned baby animals and you know I'll keep sharing them with you! I found this one on Tumbler.com

Neoclassical Bathroom
The bathroom fixtures with swan's-head faucet and handles were custom-made.They match the other hardware throughout the apartment (door levers, window levers, and so forth).
On the terrace, the swans' heads that are visible are the backs of 19th century Italian folding garden furniture. The teacup is from a 1950s Tiffany design called "Black Victoria." The towels are French.

Owl with Spanish Moss
Another owl to delight you. This one is sitting on a tree limb draped with Spanish moss. I think I've mentioned before that the parkland adjacent to my cottage is the habitat for screech owls. I hear them at night in the summer when the windows are open but never see them.

The Owl and The Pussycat in Real Life
A real-life owl and pussycat. A kitten and owl have become inseparable since their unlikely friendship began. A litter of stray kittens was turned in to The Hawk Conservancy Trust in Hampshire UK after they were found abandoned on a nearby road. One pussycat has become firm friends with Nigel, a white-faced scops owl. Heartwarming Photo by Mathew Grocoot - Caters News
