It would be hard not to think of this as an outdoor cathedral. I went on an English buying trip for architectural artifacts with friends years ago and saw all of these items offered for sale.

A Gerdener's Perfection
I would never be able to have anything this perfect without a full-time gardener. Real gardeners are hard to find that can work alone without supervision. via

Watch the seasons change
OK. I am really into spring going into summer now that I have finally finished the entire back of my property including cleaning up all the debris from fall and winter. It looks fabulous too. Winter is now just a faint memory! I can't believe next weekend will commemorate Memorial Day. Where did May go? via
I got up way too early this morning when the sun was shining on the tree tops. This is the view from my bathroom window. Enjoy what's left of the weekend. xo

First Mowing at My Cottage
I mowed yesterday and the day before to beat the storms today. I still have to deal with the bare spots where three trees came down. The stumps have been ground down, thankfully. The bare spot closest to the house is where there was an underground hornets nest. I think I'll get some pieces of sod instead of planting grass seed. We'll see.
Just in the nick of time too! It rained all day. Have a great weekend.

Great Swamp Stream Yesterday
I took this photo yesterday in the Great Swamp Wildlife Refuge not far from my house. It was one of the best winter days ever! Today is gray and overcast as we await more snow. Say it isn't so. I don't think it will be a significant snowfall, fingers crossed. I don't think I have much more shoveling in me. See you later. xo

Serene in Green
Here I am again, featuring my love of no color plantings, save green and white. It works so well here with the green shutters, doesn't it? This home must have the most amazing views from each and every window because it appears to be on the highest point. I love the idea of closing the shutters instead of drawing the draperies to darken a room. via

A Great Place to Sit and Enjoy Fall
I have never turned on my heat in September but I was tempted to break my rule this morning. Wouldn't this be a great place to sit and enjoy watching the fall colors come and go? via
