A Country Kitchen to Love

I love this kitchen island with lots of drawers and two open shelves at the end. This large kitchen has a farm table too instead of bar stools. Yay, and a window seat too. The floorboards look old but the construction looks new; perhaps it's a restoration. I couldn't find any additional photos but I know I would like the rest of this kitchen.

Louisa Moore's Farm Property near Charleston SC

A hammock on a screened-in porch. How heavenly.
See more photos of Louisa Moore's farm property here. Read about this delightful woman and her historic home in South Carolina's low country.

Raised to live off the land, Louisa Moore nets all manner of nature’s goods on her historic North Mount Pleasant property in Charleston County, South Carolina. She looks like a strong southern woman I would enjoy knowing. I like people who aren't afraid to get their hands dirty.

Amazing Chalk Stream in England

This crystal clear stream is in Ovington, Hampshire, UK. I fell in love with this on Instagram where it was posted by stampsandstamps and is shown there as a video showing the moving water of this crystal clear stream. I have never heard of a chalk stream, have you? I hope that's watercress growing on the bottom. Click here to see the video. Enjoy. You're welcome. Have a lovely weekend. xo

House Tour

I would love to have my washer and dryer off the kitchen like this one in a mud room.

The pink weeping cherry tree overlooking the backyard, barn and pool in the way back was very gorgeous.

I wasn't able to gain entry to the barn complex but I loved the outside.

Country Lane in The Cotswolds UK

This country lane in the Cotswolds is my favorite kind of rural road. Photo by Ianw Stokes. As we ride out the last snows of winter, let the mud season begin. I am beyond ready! xo

Stone Cottage: Highlands of Scotland

I adore this photo and would love to know more about this tiny Scottish Highlands Cottage with its stone steps and steep stone walls. The stone mason who constructed it certainly knew what he was doing, and it has stood the test of time. via

Scottsdale Arizona Rustic French Country Kitchen

This Rustic Arizona Kitchen Feels Like a French Countryside Vacation. The steel French doors are my favorite part of this construction project. Do want! See more inspiring photos and read the article in House Beautiful. This empty-nesting couple really downsized in style.

Small Kentucky Cottage with Woodpile

I am glad this modest Appalachian cottage has a proper overhang on the front porch to protect the woodpile which might be the only heat source. Don't you wish we could peek inside this Kentucky home to see the roaring fire? via

Wonderful Cabin Bedroom

I would love waking up here on a cold morning, But at night I need to have a TV at the foot of the bed. Of course, I could always watch something on my iPad should I be lucky enough to get to sleep here. Dog could stay too. via

Outdoor Dining with String Lights

This photo is delightful. Crunchy leaves underfoot and a string of lights between two trees overhead. The first day of fall is this Friday, September 22nd. We've had some cool weather but today was pretty warm. I have been sorting summer clothes to donate and put away for next year. Pretty soon it will be cool weather clothing only. Enjoy your Sunday evening. xo
I found the website that tells all about this fall gathering with many more photos and the story behind the evening party.

Porch with Fireplace

This is the perfect time of year for a porch like this. Bring on the hot chocolate, marshmallows on a stick, and hot spiced cider. via

Overgrown Potting Shed

This is a little overgrown but still charming. I have to do one more weeding in my own garden and then I am going to pile on the woodchips and kiss it goodbye until spring. photo source

Dahlias in Asheville

Originally cultivated by the Aztecs, dahlias are perennial mountain flowers that survive until frost.

Cutest Farm Cottage

Very nice, indeed.
It's awfully close to another dwelling though.
But I like it.
