My amaryllis bloomed in the fall and I really should put it downstairs to winter over but haven't yet. This is a view looking toward my kitchen. Enjoy your Thursday,
Rosemary, whenever I see pictures of your home, I am impressed with the way you have retained its originality. Is that a second amaryllis growing in your pot?
Pam -- It's my only amaryllis that bloomed early after being outside all summer. It never did well when it bloomed indoors in the winter because I keep my house too cold at night. I still like it as a houseplant even when it's not blooming. I kept all the original batten doors in my cottage. This one goes downstairs to the basement. xo, Rosemary
I smiled to see that your view of the birdfeeder includes the same white cow gravy boat that we have in our window sill. Ours was left by the previous owners of the house, so we joke that it is like a house elf, watching over the well being of the house.
T. Crockett -- I use my cow as a creamer for half & half in coffee when I have company. I use soy milk for myself in the little calf creamer. That was a very nice gift your home sellers left you and I love that you call it the house elf. xo, Rosemary
