More Camera Experiments

This photo makes me feel as if I had eyes in the back of my head. When I was getting ready to lower my Roman shade I noticed this reflection.

This night view was taken from my balcony.

This is the only "candy" I ever have in the house. It's made of glass and I love the way it looks in this green dish.

Here they are loose spread out on a cutting board. Two on bottom left have broken tails. I have one tail that might be able to be glued back. They remind me of ribbon candy.

I took this golden hour photo yesterday and it's a new view for me since the large tree was taken down. The sky view is much larger and my birds and a few squirrels are delighted with the stump feeding station.

Happy Monday. Hope you have a great week.

Love those photos, especially the candy one. Can you tell us where you purchased them.

beverly -- I don't exactly remember or when but I do remember it was from two different houses that were having estate sales. They have all but disappeared because I never see them. I took another photo of them spread out on a cutting board so you can see them individually. I added it to the post. So glad you like them. xo, Rosemary

UPDATE: I added a photo of the loose glass candy so you can study the individual pieces. xo, Rosemary

You're sure mastering your new camera, Rosemary! Great photos. I love the ones of the sky. Beautiful. I don't think I've seen such realistic looking glass candy before. I cannot imagine the skill it takes to create them

Thank you for the beautiful photos, Rosemary. The trees silhouetted against a winter sky are so beautiful.
I have some glass candy too (it looks good enough to eat!). Bought mine from E-bay a while ago but they're still available.

Ribbon candy brings back memories of my grandparents and Christmas.

Your pic with reflection is amazing. The reflection looks like a watercolor of your room.

Your glass candies remind me of the Lucia books by, E.F. Benson. Hope you already know of them, if not, a huge joy ahead. Reminds me, time to read them again ! Set in England between the Wars. Mundane life as artform.

I bought some glass candies like that about twenty years ago, at Burlington Coat Factory, sold with gold thread hangers attached, for hanging on the Christmas tree. They are some of my favorite ornaments, and as my children got married they each took one or two for their home trees.

Gretchen Joanna -- What a great idea to hang the glass candies on the Christmas tree. Fond memories for your married children too when they remember their childhood tree decorating as they do their own. xo, Rosemary
