You have a beautiful collection of books, Rosemary. Thank you for showing us. I see your favourite is George Eliot. I first read her book The Mill on the Floss at school and loved it immediately. I live a few miles from her birthplace.
Tasha T -- I especially love the Kelmscott Press bindings for these books by George Eliot. How nice to hear you live so close to her birthplace. xo, Rosemary
Pam -- These volumes are only the tip of the iceberg. I am a stickler for books in good condition too. So glad you like the ones I photographed. xo, Rosemary
They are beautiful, Rosemary. I used to work at a bookstore, and have acquired quite a library. How and where in the world did you find such beautiful old volumes? Estate sales? Online? Antiquarian book stores?
Lisa D. -- The decorative bindings I have pictured in these photos were purchased in old bookshops, at antiquarian book fairs, estate sales, and charity shops. I explore every avenue and am always looking. That must have been a fun job, working in a bookstore! xo, Rosemary
