I woke up to snow this morning and it was/is so beautiful but not too much to deal with. There was a webinar I had to sit through for a couple of hours for continuing education credits on my real estate license. I jumped up from time to time to snap some photos and the best ones are shown above. I still haven't put one toe outside and it's already noon. I must now go out and shovel my front walk and clean off my car and the sun can do the rest. Yesterday I filled up my gas tank and stopped at Whole Foods for some sweet potatoes, celery, almond flour, apples, carrots and a few other things to tide me over until the complete melt. I don't have to drive anywhere in the next few days so I am all set to shovel a little or a lot. Hope your snow was manageable too. xo

This is so pretty. I don't get snow where I am, so I do miss scenes such as this, but I don't have to contend with either shoveling it, or driving in it. Someone once said to me that Californians don't know how to drive in inclement weather, and I'm inclined to agree with that!
Lisa D. -- I don't mind the shoveling unless the snow is extremely deep but I don't like driving in it either. Driving on ice terrifies me but that hasn't happened to me in years. Today's snow was lovely and it was in and out quickly. I like that. xo, Rosemary
Your property looks lovely with that layer of snow. I don't think I even saw a footprint--perfection. We still haven't had snow this season, which is very strange, but tomorrow we have freezing rain in our forecast. We'll definitely stay home! Enjoy the white stuff and don't work too hard shoveling. xo
Beautiful peaceful photos! No snow here...we are in the middle of Summer Cyclone season! Thanks for the visual feast. Mimi
Pam -- When I took those photos I hadn't been outside because of my two hour webinar. It only took me a little over one hour to clean off my car and shovel my walk and select areas of my driveway. The rest is up to the sun to melt. It felt good to get out there and do some physical work. More snow might be coming tomorrow so this is not the end. xo, Rosemary
Mimi -- I would rather deal with snow than a cyclone. YIKES. I'm glad you enjoyed my photos. I hope you are spared any damage if bad weather comes your way. xo, Rosemary
Such lovely photos Rosemary. Thanks so much for sharing!
kathiquilts -- I am so happy you enjoyed them. My first snow of 2022 was easy to photograph from inside the house through the windows that didn't have screen. I took them out for this very purpose. Have a great weekend. xo, Rosemary
what wonderful photos from your cottage!
I can think of no cozier place to be to watch it snow.
or enjoy it afterward! we've had NO snow this winter.
ice yes. snow no. but one continues to have hopes! XO
Your photos are so lovely Rosemary, they make winter look fabulous and spectacular. We have had very little snow again which means loss of plants, lawn and trees come summer for us. Snow is lovely as long as you have power and no where to go. I am wondering if you will be hit by the Nor'easter that is going to hit the northeast in the next few days.
A winter wonderland! Lucky you! I'm from Texas so we don't get much now haha...
