This hall closet is stunning. I would love to open the doors and see how the interiors are fitted. The far left door probably has shelves and the double doors have the hanging space and storage above which would probably require a ladder because of the high ceiling. It's interesting that the crown moulding was not extended around the rest of the hallway. I love fine woodworking and it's hard to find a carpenter with these skills. xo

Beautiful woodwork. It's really difficult to find skilled woodcrafters near where we live, too. Years ago, we were really fortunate to have a neighbor who happened to be a carpenter ("Jack-of-all Trades"). After my mother, he was the most particular person I have ever known. His work was always better than you expected. We sure miss him! Getting back to the closet doors, I love the shade of gray paint. Pretty.
love everything about this. xo
It's beautiful. One of my favorite things in a house is beautiful woodwork.
I would think a good finish carpenter would be able to do this. Do you think it's difficult to find a carpenter with the skills to build this because there is not enough demand for it?
Pam -- To have a jack of all trades as a neighbor is my idea of heaven. Especially one who is particular about his work. I like that shade of gray paint on the closet doors too.

Lisa D. -- I do think a good finish carpenter could probably pull this off. A fine woodworker is one who knows how to fool the eye when necessary in a paneled room. Instead of doing cookie cutter panels and ending up with one that is 1/2 the size of the others at the end of the run, he knows how to size each one so they all look uniform but aren't. That way he ends with a full panel. Do you understand what I'm saying? There is artistry involved that many carpenters can't do without looking obvious. I have such respect for the talented ones. xo, Rosemary
