I'm trying to decide if an intervention is needed here.😂
This ironstone collection is pretty impressive but has gotten to the dangerous stage and it's time to stop buying more.
Enough is enough.
On a more serious note, maybe this is a warehouse for a china replacement company rather than a private home.
Let me know if you know the backstory.
Welcome DECEMBER.
It's really here and maybe this year I will be more prepared.
Maybe not.

UPDATE: Pam found the link for shops in Paris and there is a similar display in one of them: https://privatenewport.com/perfectly-paris-shops-to-love/

Rosemary, you are so funny. Actually, I think it's fabulous, but I happen to love pottery and porcelain. Hmmm...maybe it's storage for someone who once lived a fabulous life and had huge dinner parties?
Lisa D. -- I really think it's fabulous too, especially if the pieces are still being used in a grand country estate. A peek into non-public rooms are always fun. xo, Rosemary
I've seen similar set-ups in the antique stores that I've been to.....What happens when you want something that is on top?
Thanks for sharing.
I've had a tiring few days preparing for company arriving tomorrow. I sat down to rest a bit & read this...what a hoot! It made me laugh out loud. I also love ironstone as well as other types of pottery — especially if it's antique. Brown transferware is a favorite of mine.
I do hope this is storage or perhaps a business, otherwise I think you would be right Rosemary.
...all is grace!
Gosh! This week, we've been moving to a smaller home for retirement. I've been giving away all kinds of "stuff" that isn't absolutely dear to me or necessary for life. I'm beginning to believe it might be the best thing that ever happened to our family. Just seeing this picture overwhelms, doesn't it! Surely it's a business...but who knows...it could be a collection on steroids!
Pam -- Your reaction to this photo is exactly like mine! I have been giving away things right and left even though I downsized 20 years ago. Congratulations for your decision to do this as well. You will never regret it and you won't miss the things you give away or donate. If you do, you can always find replacements. I think Susan was right with her comment about seeing this setup in an antique store. I had not considered that aspect of this collection. Best wishes in your smaller home.

Susan, I think you hit the nail on the head about seeing this setup in an Antique Mall or shop. Even though I was in the antique business for years, I have never seen this but you have. Thank you for solving this puzzle. xo, Rosemary
Anita ~ the cabin on the creek, Anita -- I am glad you got a chuckle during your rest period. Have fun with your company. Susan has solved the mystery, placing this setup in an Antique Store or group shop in an Antique Mall. xo, Rosemary
Rosemary your comment made me laugh. And I agree with all regarding giving things away. Seriously we don’t need a lot.
Noelle -- I get great pleasure from giving nice things away that I no longer need. I seem to have two of everything! You are right, we don't need a lot!!! xo, Rosemary
UPDATE: Pam found a link for antique shops in Paris and one of them has a similar setup and perhaps the photo was taken there.
