Would you like some tea?

I watch a lot of English programming on AcornTV and nobody ever says NO to tea. This cartoon made me laugh. Have a great weekend. xo

I know! Tea is their answer for just about anything!

*I have the Acorn channel on Comcast - I've had such trouble with customer service (well lack of) and so many missing seasons on different series . . .I always think I'm going to dump them - but I just can't. I guess I'll just learn to live with them . . .

Karen (with the rabbit icon) -- Karen, You should try a streaming device like Chromecast, Apple TV, Rocu, or AmazonFire on a tv set in your house not connected to cable. Use your phone or iPad as a device to select what you want to watch on AcornTV. Your phone will be the remote. I have that setup in my bedroom, my living room, and lower level. My living room tv is also set up with an over the air antenna too like the old-time rabbit ears for watching free network programs. You have to set your tv to the HDMI port for your streaming device. This would be an easy way to test out streaming without cable without actually doing it. It might sound complicated but it becomes second nature in no time.
Good luck. xo, Rosemary

It is just an old-fashioned courtesy ritual. As elderly gentleman explained to me, when someone goes the home of another, it is polite to offer them something to eat or drink. The reply should always be yes. If, in reality, you don't want to drink what is offered, you don't have to finish it.

Love this, and Karen is right - tea is their answer for just about everything. (I would never turn down a cup of tea!) And Karen, I love your miniature rabbit picture. Is that Albrecht Durer's painting of a rabbit? I've always loved that painting. I love rabbits anyway.

Sherry -- AcornTV is the BEST and the least expensive streaming service. I get the annual subscription -- 10 months for the price of 12 = $60 per year. They have a free 7-day trial period if you want to try it out. I am well into my second year as a subscriber. I think it's better than BritBox because in addition to British TV shows it has programs from Australia and New Zealand too. And some foreign language shows as well.
