I put the large coffee table in front of my comfy sofa, put matching lamps on either side of the sofa in front of the window, and did lots of deep vacuuming cleaning. I moved the comfy sofa closer to the hallway opening and centered the other sofa with the window after moving it a little farther back. I will show the fireplace wall next, so stay tuned.
Here is a previous post with the story of the coffee table base showing it in another location. The rearranging part of my brain is stuck in high gear but I'm still enjoying the challenge.😂

Lisa D. -- The tiger maple corner cupboard is one of my favorite pieces. I bought it privately about 30 years ago from an old doctor who used to talk to his antiques. I'm glad you like it too.

I just love your walls - that wide board and batten really is stunning in the room! I thought I couldn't do that in our small room - but I actually think it makes the room appear bigger. Plus your picture placements are wonderful - I love a picture light! Talk about a cozy room . . . .

Karen (with the rabbit icon) -- Karen, The walls in this room were a study in peeling plaster before my renovation. Rather than a scrape and paint job, they were covered with Luan Plywood. The raised panel stiles have an added piece of trim work moulding similar to, but more unusual than, quarter round. I love the look of my recessed paneling that was an easy fix for a large wide room that overlooks the front and the back of my property. The wide crown moulding helps the room decor as well.

tammy j -- Tam, I am enjoying seeing my things with new eyes thanks to some intense rearranging. I will soon be all set to nest and hibernate for the winter. I have fond memories of the old doctor who talked to his prized antiques. He never wanted to part with any of them but had to when he put his house on the market so he could move to assisted living while was still lively and as sharp as a tack. He decorated his new quarters with some of his antiques but had to sell the larger items. He would be proud I kept them. If only antiques could talk back.

Anita ~ the cabin on the creek -- Anita, I am truly blessed to have room for favorite things in my cottage after downsizing. One thing I have never changed is the artwork on my walls in my living room. They are still in the exact places I put them when I first moved in. All of the furniture has been shuffled around numerous times except for the corner cupboard. Somehow, without previous measuring, it fits in its permanent location perfectly. Some things are just meant to be!

Your living room is just lovely. I love seeing what you are up to next. And that house in New Hampshire. I will be thinking about that for a few days. Some people are so lucky (and well off, I imagine).
