Sage Green Paint on Doors and Trim

I love the room that can be closed off with these sage green french doors. It is such a soothing neutral color that goes with everything. However, the furnishings in the room are without color and that brings out the beauty of the trim color even more. It's all very inviting, isn't it? via

Sage is my favorite green. Our place is decorated in sage, cream, and browns.

I like the shade of those french doors. In the past, I've opted for deeper color in my home, but as we transition to a smaller place, I think soft, neutral shades will be the goal.

Hi, Rosemary! I understand your point about the lack of trim on the windows. We are originally from NJ, where wood window trim and molding was standard, but when we moved to AZ almost 50 years ago, we learned that "no trim" is the norm. Maybe it's a Western or Southwestern practice, because that's how it is in CA for new builds, and I notice that TX is like that as well.

Marie in AZ -- Marie, I guess I am 50 years behind the times which is about right.😂 I like the no trim look but I'll bet the corners take a beating when moving furniture in and out of doorway openings. The plus side is you don't have to wash woodwork. How is the space where baseboards usually live handled? Can you still wet mop a floor? Thanks so much for the clarification.

That looks really nice together! Do you know the names of the colors you used?

Not my photo. When I lived in a rental, I painted a room in this sage green color and the name of that color was LEMON SAGE. I don't remember the brand though. Sorry. I still love the color. xo, Rosemary
