Moon Tonight at My Cottage

This iPhone photo doesn't capture the beauty of tonight's moon but here it is anyway. I added a filter to make it look like a vintage photo and I like it. I mowed two days ago and tomorrow I shall do the front. So as the story book says, "Goodnight Moon" and I'm off to my bedroom. xo

This is the original photo before editing with SNAPSEED, a free App that is amazingly powerful. I decreased the highlights, increased the ambiance and I probably decreased the exposure too. I used "healing" to get rid of the white dot at the base of the trees that is a bluebird house. I used healing to get rid of the dead branches slightly above he bird house.  I used "Vintage" to get the old-fashioned photo feel. I will look for a tutorial online to help you with Snapseed. It's available on Google Play and Apple App Store. The iPhone has built-in photo editing that is great too. I sometimes start there and finish on Snapseed. xo

I found a 15-minute YouTube Video Tutorial that will teach you on how to use SNAPSEED to edit the photos on your phone.

After watching the video, I added another edit with Snapseed using Curves and got a sky I like better. xo

Rosemary, that is a stunning photograph...filter or not. I have tried to capture the full moon with my iPhone, but rarely get one I am happy with. Is the filter you used an App you have on your phone?

...all is grace!

Anita ~ the cabin on the creek -- I edited my photo with an App on my iPhone called SNAPSEED. It's free and amazing. What most people don't know, there is hidden quality in every photo and a little editing brings it out. When I save a photo on Snapseed I export using the choice "save a copy" so I still have the original copy.
I will go back and post the original copy so you can see the power of photo editing.

Thank you so much for all that information Rosemary. I will definitely get the App & use the tutorial. I do some editing on my phone, but I also download photos to my Mac & edit there as well. I feel I see things better on the computer. I love taking pics around my property, although most of mine are more of the closer up variety...such as plants & interesting things along the creek. I have so many trees that I cannot get a good landscape like you have here. It almost looks like a painting.

...all is grace!

Anita, go to https://snapseedpc.online
Then there are many choices where you want to put it.
Snapseed for Mac OS will put it on a Mac Desktop
Snapseed for IOS will put it on a phone or iPad
Snapseed PC will put it on a Windows computer
Look around and hopefully you can download it.
The first choice on the link is Snapseed App
Click on that on your computer and it will bring up both computer choices -- Apple or Windows
Good luck!

There was a beautiful full moon last night. Thank you for capturing it to share with all of us. I also noticed that there is a particularly beautiful, fluffy cloud in the upper left area of the photograph.

It's so pretty. It looks like a little whisper of a cloud resting just above the shrubbery.

Lisa D. -- Yes, you noticed the lone but lovely cloud!
