Hello June (First Peonies)

My white peonies are always the first to open. They close up at night and haven't awakened yet this morning. I was thrilled to see them yesterday when I took this photo. Welcome June! I have high hopes for your in the garden. xo

"Blackberry winter". I think that is what we are having here in Montecito! I am freezing....and no one in the East has one bit of sympathy. We have a daughter who lives in Marblehead, Massachusetts.......I freeze under 60. Honestly, the coldest winter and spring I can ever remember. I am sitting outside with a heated floor on a loggia...it is 57. Brrrrr. I know I am spoiled.

Your peonies are so pretty, Rosemary! Ours were really nice about a week ago, until heavy rains came. I always look forward to them!

Your peonies are beautiful, Rosemary. Peonies are probably my favorite flower, and I'm really a flower lover, so that's saying a lot. The peony season is pretty much over here in CA.

Penelope, you are so very lucky to live in gorgeous Montecito - God's country. Montecito is my favorite place in CA.
