Dog Sitting Weekend with Missy

Missy came over early Friday morning and has been a perfect house guest ever since. She is well behaved and very mellow. She asks for nothing but is grateful for every kindness shown to her. Her crate is in the kitchen with the door open and she is enjoying the new bedding I put inside. She can't decide which dog bed she prefers, Webster's old blue one or the mattress pad and pillow with a flannel pillowcase in her crate. She's a good walker too and doesn't pull on the lead.

Her eyelashes match the color of her fur. I think she's an English Setter. She had a haircut on Tuesday to prepare for her good girl visit. Have a great weekend. xo

Mama Pea -- Missy is a beauty but her owner is very attached to her. As it turns out, she is also a deer tick magnet. Luckily they show up against her white fur. I have already been bitten 4 times by those tiny little Lyme Disease carriers from doing yard work. Missy isn't concerned with getting on furniture or sleeping in people beds so hopefully none of her ticks will jump on me before I remove them with very sticky tape. Thanks for the suggestion though. I am keeping her again in December for 3 days.

Dog sitting for well behaved dogs is like having grandchildren. They are yours to enjoy, but you don't have to educate them & can give them back at the end of their stay. Enjoy Missy...she is a beauty.

...all is grace!

Lucky you. Her pose for the camera speaks volumes.

Missy sounds like a very sweet dog. So kind of you to care for her, Rosemary. Hope you girls have a great weekend!

Aw...Missy is a sweetheart! It looks like her left eye is a little irritated to me. (Mother Hen, over here!) Aren't animals wonderful? They ask for so little, but they give so much.

At this Thanksgiving season, I want to thank you again for your uplifting posts. Always something 'beautiful or useful' to brighten my days, and much appreciated.

Oh those nasty ticks, so glad you can spot them on her.I'm concerned to read that you have been bitten 4 times. I'm so glad I don't have to worry about that anymore. Missy's coloring is so beautiful, especially on her face. If I read correctly she has white eyelashes on one eye and black on the other? I hope you enjoyed having a dog companion again for a few days, I know she was so very well taken care of by you. I wish my granddads were good walkers, they are good at walking but not at all well behaved if they see another dog.
