As they seem to be coming out of the building, I had to see more. This is at Powis Castle, Welshpool, Wales - discovered other pictures showing the layout of the grounds, gardens, and these trees. Beautiful!

What incredibly beautiful grounds! Some of the photos show manicured shrubs that appear to be identical in size and shape--not an easy task!

OMG!!! ABSOLUTELY STUNNING BEAUTY!! I'd checked the link as well as a search for Powis Castle and the gardens are breathtaking. I had a Powis Castle Artemesia which was enormous, velvety soft and lacey; a wonderful silvery counterpart to English roses. Amazing to know that this castle is from 1277.

Anita ~ the cabin on the creek -- Anita, the most amazing part about this castle is it has constantly been lived in for over 700 years and beautifully maintained with improvements when needed. It never had to be restored as a result. How cool is that? Just like my grandmother always said, "It's easier to keep up than to catch up."

That is another amazing fact about the castle. And your grandmother was a wise woman Rosemary!
