House with Amazing Garden

Here is a photo of the beautiful house that goes with the enclosed garden with no grass. My generator is running full blast and has been since the hurricane yesterday. The largest black walnut you have ever seen in the parkland next to me was uprooted and is over the road. No power anywhere. Who knows how long this will take. No words. Be safe. xo

Your generator will be a life line to comfort and saving food. Hopefully that is all the damage you have to deal with during this stormy time.

Oh, dear. Be careful and stay safe. I know you're prepared for this type of happening and will make it through without any great hardship. But still, it's another situation that's not "business as usual" so take care of yourself, Rosemary.

Rebecca -- I am very thankful for my generator. I am very glad I put it in several years ago. I just went out and checked the oil as I do every 24 hours of running time. You are right, it gives me comfort and saves my food. Thanks for stopping by.

Mama Pea -- It has not been "business as usual" but we do what we have to, don't we? My pioneer spirit is always ready to kick in when needed. I know you are that way too!

Rosemary, I'm glad you and your home are safe. Generators are worth every penny (and more) when you lose power for extended periods. Take good care of yourself. Xoxo

Hurricane "I" (I'll never learn that name) swept up just to the west of us. We had plenty of rain, but no problems thankfully. But so many others had all sorts of problems, including a child lost in the flooding, sadly, and a small zoo that had to evacuate all its animals. You're so clever to have taken the initiative to get the generator put in. The loss of the tree is sad. Well, the wood is valuable, for someone. I'll bet all this was a shock to those who chose to move out of NYC to the suburbs. Hope you are doing well.

Watching the storm on the news was terrifying so I can't even imagine what it was like to live through it. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you brave people who went through this ordeal.
