It's wonderful. I love old houses. I love how they take you back to an earlier era. One rarely sees carriage houses out here in CA. They have a romantic quality that things from an earlier era possess. There is no pavement in front of the carriage doors. Do you think it was used for horse drawn carriages only, and never used for early automobiles? Or maybe it was, and whatever pavement may have been there is long since gone. It must now be a guest house(?)
lisa -- I haven't seen the listing yet but the early house has a carport which is very rare around here. I noticed there was no pavement too. It really would make a nice guest house. Yes, it was originally used for carriages and probably early automobiles as well. I am sure there was once some sort of pavement and the current owners are probably the ones to turn it all into lawn. xo. Rosemary
