Summer seemed like it would never end. Our daytime temps are still climbing into the 80s, but I think the 90s are history, thank goodness! I love fall.
I love F. Scott Fitzgerald. The Great Gatsby is one of my favorites.
Our weather forecast for the SF/east bay area is almost 100 degrees today! On top of that we have red flag warnings, which means that in addition to the high temperatures, we also have low humidity, and winds that are higher than usual, which makes it a perfect storm for fires than can quickly become unmanageable. Scary stuff, for sure. (I can't wait for Fall too.)
Truer words never spoken. Here today the air was dry. temperature moderate and skies clear blue. Just when I feared this might be the summer that did me in, I find the "old girl" has a bit of spunk left after all. Thank goodness.

I'm so ready for cool fall weather but it's 91° in SC today. The nights are drooping in the 60's so hopefully it's on it's way.

It's so funny how this is, that when so much is dying, it feels that life is starting over! But it's true.
