I snapped these photos yesterday when this nesting wren came out for a breath of fresh air. See more information about this tiny bird here. I am looking forward to more activity when this pair has to deal with feeding their young.
Are they not the sweetest little things? I have had the pleasure of their visits back when I lived in Virginia...lovely birds! And thanks so much for sharing all the flora and fauna in your lovely home!
Aren't they cute birds? We used to have a gazebo out back and it had the mosquito netting around it. At night, my husband and I would be sitting in it and a Carolina Wren would come and nest in the folds of the top of the netting. Every night! I thought that was so cute!
JudyMac -- I am looking forward to flying lessons up close. I have no idea how the parents are going to handle this location but it will be fun to watch. I don't ever remember having nesting Chickadees. Lucky you. xo, Rosemary
SusanfromKentucky -- Susan, What a treat that must have been for you. They are such trusting little birds. I had to move the birdhouse on my balcony to the front yard last week when I had the balcony powerwashed. I wasn't sure how that would work out but I don't think they even knew they had been moved. I was very careful and it all worked out perfectly. They don't seem to mind human interaction. xo, Rosemary
