I probably own every gardening tool that was ever invented but I use these two the most. All of my tools are second hand purchases from garage sales or in the case of these two, side of the road finds.
I also have mowed our grass twice, done some trimming and bed clean up despite all the rain and sometimes snow. We've had an abundance of rain this spring, I'm not ungrateful but confess I'm ready for more sunshine. I love that you've purchased most of your garden tools second hand, even better to find them on the side of the road.
I think my ergonomically correct tool with a spade on one end and tined fork on the other and then my clippers are my most used garden tools. Can't say I'm exactly looking forward to the first round of clearing out winter debris and getting beds ready for the flowers that will soon bloom but when they do, I will be so glad that I hung in there and got it all done. It will be so worth it!
Although it was wet in spots, I worked in the dry areas of my garden earlier today. I planted radishes, broccoli, parsley, and basil. The volunteer dill are already about 3 inches tall. Plus, the potatoes are just cracking the soil, but I spied their little green leaves pushing through. It felt wonderful to be out there, scratching in the dirt. As I looked at the tiny seeds, I couldn't help but think of the bounty they will produce. By the time I was finished, I was dirty and a little tired, but so grateful for the miracles of Nature.

I get great antique gardening tools for very little money at the car boot sales when I'm in England!
