I've always admired aga stoves. Their history is interesting, too. A Swedish physicist who had lost his sight in an explosion, was at home and realized how hard his wife had to work in order to cook. This blind, brilliant man created the aga cooker to make cooking more efficient. Amazing! I've also heard that with the proper maintenance they can last a lifetime. Works of art, for sure!
Pam -- Thank you for the wonderful history of the Aga range. I know several people who have them and they love them. They certainly contribute the cozy factor in a kitchen, especially if there is a dog or two warming up next to the radiant heat. I always assumed an Aga was a British invention. Now I know it originated in Sweden. Thanks again. xo, Rosemary
Here you go - a bigger picture is in this blogpost. http://beautifulnest.blogspot.com/2011/08/vintage-stove-or-new-stove-your-advice.html
The kitchen is made by a company called Landmark Kitchens in the UK - I tried their website but it seems to no longer be in use so I presume they must have gone out of business.
Lesleyc -- Leslie -- THANK YOU! The rest of the kitchen is wonderful! The blogpost where you found it is from 2008 so the kitchen company could quite possibly be out of business. I love the whole room. Thanks so much for finding it. http://beautifulnest.blogspot.com/2011/08/vintage-stove-or-new-stove-your-advice.html xo, Rosemary
