I love this old door decorated with a vine and wildflower wreath. I wonder if the recession behind the wreath opens somehow from the inside to check who's calling? Look closely, there's a lit Christmas tree inside. via
oh yes to it all . . . noticed the chandelier and tree lights right away once I pulled my eyes away from the glorious natural wreath and door surrounds but not the little inset in the door. I think you are right about it's purpose. Oh, my. Sigh. It's likely I will be revisiting this welcoming doorway again before the day is out. Thank you, dear Rosemary. May you soon be enjoying the warmth and sunshine which now is here following rain and gloom.
Linda -- It was nice here today as well. I worked outside and raked leaves in just a heavy sweater. It was so nice! Glad you liked the door too. xo, Rosemary
Oh, good. You also could enjoy sunny warmth. In my earlier note, I meant to mention the beautiful but not familiar mullions in the window above the door . . . these take my breath away, too. Do you happen to know where this home is located?
Good morning. I love everything about this post. The lack of a door knob makes me think it is in England. As I love English gardens, English mysteries, and English country decorating , I think this door is perfect. Thank you for sharing.
Lovely to have such a welcoming door, the photographer certainly made us curious for a full view of the interior. Alas all we get is a sweet light fixture and the possibility of a decorated tree.

Linda -- I tried to find this actual cottage but could not. Sorry. I love those windows above the door too.
