This townhouse is impossibly lovely with its floral decoration by Mother Nature. Wisteria is pretty wild when left to its own devices so this vine must have had some help from a landscape design expert who trained it well. via
Catherine -- I have a friend who had wisteria overtaking her house. She had it cut back to almost nothing to have repairs made and the house painted. It grew back very quickly. PS: She eventually got rid of it on her house but still has it on a pergola in the yard. Wisteria requires a lot of pruning and can be hard to manage in high places. xo, Rosemary
Mama Pea -- I wholeheartedly agree. The townhouse owners probably have a gardener who takes care of the pruning of the wisteria and the topiaries so they can just sit back and enjoy it. xo, Rosemary

I love buildings covered in wisteria or climbing roses. But I always wonder what happens when the house needs to be painted.

Hi Rosemary - Thank you for sharing that. I think as lovely as it is, it might not be a good idea. I have my house painted every five years.
Even though it might require a lot of care, it is striking!
