Simple Narrow Entrance Hall

The view from the front porch looks gorgeous. I love this sisal/jute rug in a chevron pattern bound with a gray border. I have always loved old house with transom windows over the doors. They must be so nice at night when the door is closed and the transom is open to let in fresh air. via
It has been too hot here for me to open my windows at night. It is 90° at 6:30pm and my house is nice and cool as I have been running my central air. I don't use it that often but when it's really hot, I am glad I have it, especially if I am working in the attic. See you tomorrow. xo

No doubt the rest of that home is as lovely as its entryway.
Very pretty.

Very hot here---has been for weeks---and now it seems an unending siege of fires. Firefighters arriving from all over the US, Australia and Canada to help us.---bless their hearts.

Our whole family was been together for the past few days. We had a discussion on what we couldn't live without, my answer was electricity. It's been in the high 90's for the past two months and I'm so grateful for AC. Fortunately it does cool off during the night but now we have had smoke cover for days on end as the wind blows it in from California so our AC stays on all night too. Without electricity we'd be so hot and I would have trouble breathing due to asthma.

I love an entry with rooms opened to it from either side. I see a lovely corner cupboard and a big YES to transoms.
