I found this on Instagram today and love it.
"Anyone who thinks that gardening begins in the spring and ends in the fall is missing the best part of the whole year. For gardening begins in January with the dream."
This is so true for before I saw this I was trying to figure out how to build a moveable garden that I can roll around to follow the sun. See you later. xo

As soon as January rolls around, the seed catalogs start coming, and I'm caught up in dreams of planting. Rosemary, I once knew a woman who used Earth Box container systems to grow plants. She placed them on wagons and wheeled them to the sunny spots. She always had the first tomatoes on the block. Sweet dreams of spring!
Pam -- Thank you for the information about Earth Box Container Systems. Their website is very interesting and I might use some of their ideas. I picked up a large collection of wooden wine crates one of my neighbors was throwing away. I plan to drill holes in the bottoms and use them as little raised beds. I have two rolling carts I use to transport my wood chips and can spare one for a rolling garden. I feel as if I am starting to live my life backward, going back to the early 1970s when I was a young "Martha Stewart" before I had even heard of her. I am planning on subscribing to Netflix so I can watch that new six-episode on food called "Rotten". Have you heard about it? I'm sure it will jolt a lot of us into going back to raising our own food. Thanks again.
xo, Rosemary
Oh my, those wooden wine crates should prove to be very valuable to your gardening efforts! We have a big, old, wooden potato bin stored in the barn, and I'm thinking about hauling it out, and using it for a raised bed. In the past, I've purchased seeds and plants from local vendors, but now I'm thinking about ordering heirloom seeds. So much to consider...
Absolutely perfect quote.
