Pamela Pack -- I looked and looked on Google Images for the original source of this weeping angel but all links led to Pinterest. If I ever find it, I will post the location.

Found on Pinterest, in Metairie Cemetary in New Orleans, Louisiana there is one similar if not the same. It does represent grief perfectly. I remember similar statues in the Savannah Cemetary evoking the same feeling and admiring those with the talent to create them.

Rosemary, she is beautiful. I lost my sweet daddy on January 6. My heart is shattered.

Thank you Rosemary and Carolyn for locating this. I might not make it to New Orleans, but Savannah is very likely. Now that I know similar statues are there, I will look for them next time I go. My late husband and I visited Savannah often. It is for him that this statue brought me great emotion and I was was so taken with it. It is simply breathtaking. Thank you for sharing this treasure.

I had no idea that they got snow in New Orleans. It makes you want to weep, the Angel not the snow. It's lovely and truly mournful. Is it weird that I love cemeteries?

And I know exactly how the angel feels. Lost my husband suddenly last May. Now, I am totally lost.

Could it be "Angel of Grief" in Rome?
