If he had been smarter (he could not have been richer) he would have negotiated to buy it furnished..."In situ" or bought it all at auction and put it back.. I think it could have been done.
What a perfect example of "understated elegance, perfect comfort, understatement....and quality....Lordy!
Perfection. Exquisite things in a comfortable, cozy home. That was her gift. 5 houses! All the same sense of understated elegance...each so perfectly suited to its surroundings....
I believe interior decorators should be studying her for the ages. Unfortunately; I find they all "know better"! "No, that is old lady" I will pray a lot.
