Orchard Floor paved w/ Fallen Apples

This photo is stunning. I want to know how the apples got so beautifully arranged. Is this an art installation or exhibit? I will post the answer later if I can find it. In the meantime, just enjoy the visual. Photo: Johnathan Ryan

I posted this photo on Instagram and got my answer. This is not staged. It is an orchard in Ireland after a Hurricane.
The storm brought a lot of rain which swelled nearby rivers and caused the field to flood.
"The flood water gathered all the apples and as it settled down it left a carpet of apples." Jonathan added.

This is how Hurricane Ophelia left the Bulmers Orchard in Tipperary, Ireland in mid October 2017

His stunning shot shows the ground covered in a carpet of apples which were blown off the trees. The apple trees which were covered in fruit are now nearly bare after the storm. Hopefully, this won't cause a cider shortage later in the year...read the article in the Irish Mirror.

donna baker, Catherine and Mama Pea -- A reader on Instagram told me this was done by Mother Nature herself when Hurricane Ophelia hit Bulmer's Orchard in Tipperary, Ireland. I posted another stunning photo on the blog for you to see. WOW. What a story. The winds were over 100 miles an hour.

Visually stunning photos and absolutely fascinating reason behind them. I'm glad that I waited till later in the day to check your blog after seeing the photo on your Instagram this morning as you found the answer to why the apples were all on the ground....I knew you would be able to enlighten us.

Hopefully they were able to gather the apples up before they rotted on the ground. I've never heard of or seen anything like this.

The Queen Vee -- Victoria, One of the articles said the cider making would be much easier because they wouldn't have to pick the apples this year. They just have to pick them up and into the cider presses they go. What a story. I'm so glad that photographer drove by and stopped to capture this phenomenon. Never to be seen again. I'm loving your Halloween posts.
