This architecture is amazing. I love the high ceilings and lighting fixtures. The closed built-in cupboards are wonderful as are the curved glazed door china cupboards. The floor is really stunning. i wish we could see more, don't you? via
Gorgeous. So much storage. Nicely concealed, except for the display cases. Wish I had this hallway in my house. Love the curve at the end. The floor is gilding the lily. I got to wondering how you'd access the upper units, especially without dragging a ladder across the floor. It must have padded feet. And where does one put it away? I guess you let your staff worry about that. Great fun to see such an unusual house.
So elegant and such beautiful workmanship. Yes, I want to see the room on the left through those beautiful solid wood doors. Those china cupboards are gorgeous, so interesting and probably useful to have them just outside the dining room.....I think that is the dining room at the end of the hall. Love the stenciled floor, really emulates inlaid wood doesn't it?
justaweecatnap -- Ha! You are right, it's a problem for the staff. There are some very nice tall, lightweight aluminum ladders they use in museums with a handrail and a shelf at the top. I think you would forget what's in those top cupboards. Out of sight, out of mind. Anyway, I love everything I see. xo, Rosemary
