Racka Sheep is a unique breed with both ewes and rams possessing long spiral shaped horns. The breed comes from Hungary and is used for milk and wool. Mature males may have horns as long as two feet or more. The cork-screw horns protrude almost straight upward from the top of the head. They look old and wise, don't they? via
PS -- I watched the new PBS series The Durrells in Corfu last night and LOVED it.

WOW! Those horns remind me of unicorns. It is a gorgeous breed. I would love to see one of their lambs.
I have never seen sheep like this before. Very cool! Hope that you are having a wonderful fall.
Amazing looking sheep. They look like some sort of fairy tale sheep to me. They do look old and wise. Wizard-ish looking Sheep.
The Durrells in Corfu was a pleasure to watch. I loved the story, the family, the setting--location and era. The Durrells and Poldark are going to make Sundays my favorite television night.
Rats!!! I forgot the Durells. Watched Indian Summers---both episodes AGAIN. What the heck was I thinking? Well, it's pretty obvious, I WASN'T thinking.
Thanks so much for the PBS recommendation. Excellent! Just what I needed!

The first episode of The Durells of Corfu was absolutely wonderful! I can't wait for the next one. . . . PBS programming always reminds me of why we pay for cable t.v.!
