I bought this small frame at an estate sale long ago. I fully expected to replace the photo with one of my own but didn't have the heart. When people pick it up to look at it they always ask who he is. I always say I don't know but he reminds me of my grandfather. They usually say he looks like mine too. So there. He's everybody's grandpa.

I have a beautiful oil portrait of a woman not related to me, but she reminds me of my mother's mother. I like borrowing ancestors.

Thank you so much! I had my beloved "Granny"; (that is why I chose the name......and I have 7!!!) but I never had a grandfather I knew.......I adore this guy in the morning glory frame......I have adopted him! Wouldn't he be thrilled? All these lovely women adopting him as a grandfather? He looks so nice.....he is having a ball with it.....I believe he knows. And I also believe your mother is right there with you.....all the time. I bet you feel her..
