The Sunday morning line up. 🔹🔹🔹🔹🔹 I picked up these deck chairs a few doors down when the owners put them out at the curb for trash pickup. A new coat of stain and they are as good as new. So happy.

Stacey Snacks -- Stacey, I always slow down and look. If the stuff looks interesting, I get out of my car. Most times I pick up nothing. These chairs were in their collapsed position and I almost missed them. I had already passed them before it dawned on me what they were. So I turned around and went back. Score! I still can't imagine why they decided to get rid of them but I'm glad they did!!!

A dear friend is of French heritage. He helps me in the garden a lot. I wanted to bake him some Madelaines from scratch as an extra thank you. On-line they wanted $12 - $25 for Madelaine pans. Another friend of mine found the old-fashioned metal type I was looking for in a thrift shop. $3

What color were the chairs originally? I love the soft, subtle taupe you used.

Gail -- The chairs would have been fine even if I hadn't painted them. They were the color of weathered wood. But I love the new look so there is a good contrast between the new paint and the deck floor. I am so happy you found a vintage baking pan for your little French treats. I usually can't find something specific when I need it. You were very lucky to have others looking out for your pan. Thrifting is a wonderful way to shop and recycle at the same time. Have a great week.
