Greek Yogurt Facial

This is my new beauty routine while I am having my morning coffee. The best thing about Greek yogurt is its thickness. You can keep piling it on your problem areas as a facial mask and it stays put and is not runny. For some reason, I have had bags under my eyes recently that I never had before. I have been eating power foods and making a real effort to get some extra sleep and those things are helping. I leave the yogurt on my face for as long as I can stand it and I am seeing fabulous results. I have tried raw honey too. And cold coffee because I've heard the caffein helps shrink your skin. Now I am off to the kitchen to make a smoothie using frozen organic blueberries, half a frozen banana, soy milk, Greek yogurt, and some cold chai tea. Yum. Today I am going to add a tablespoon of Avocado oil I got at Costco yesterday, and I might buzz in a little raw oatmeal too. Summertime and smoothies are perfect together. xo

It was delicious! Best one so far. I didn't add the oatmeal but used all of the other things I mentioned.

I have bags under my eye too and know that the only thing that will help them is plastic surgery. Mine are hereditary plus my whole life I've had really bad allergies. Hahaha, I think for me, the Greek yogurt would be better used on my insides than my outsides.

I love reading about your natural beauty routines Rosemary, I'm sure that they are just as beneficial as over the counter expensive beauty products. I love your new shorter haircut, looks perfect for the warmer weather of summer.

Even with yogurt on your face, your classic beauty shines through! I think I'm going to try the Greek yogurt and see if I can become as attractive as you. I just hope my husband can take me with the white yogurt make-up first thing in the morning. Oh well, he's seen me looking worse.

I love cold chai tea but never would have thought to put it in my smoothie. Thanks for that yummy sounding tip, too.

Thanks so much for your kind words. I got the idea for chai tea in my smoothie from a recipe that called for cooled green tea for an energy boost. I have tried that too. Today my smoothie had 1/2 cup of pot style cottage cheese instead of greek yogurt, one tablespoon of chia seeds that I forgot to add yesterday, 1/2 a golden delicious apple and all the other things I added yesterday. I find that if I use the frozen berries and the frozen banana, I don't have to add any ice to dilute the drink and my blender can handle all the mixing very nicely. I put the liquids in first.
Your husband won't mind your yogurt face once he sees the glow you will get when you wash it off. I am still seeing daily improvement on the bags under my eyes. They are going away. Yay!
