View from A Friend's Terrace

The beauty of mature landscaping photographed from the terrace of a friend. Then I went home to my weed patch. Sigh.

Oh, be still my heart! If only I could somehow manage to create a scene like that in my own yard! Sigh.

Debra Phillips -- No. This friend's 1929 house is near me right here in New Jersey USA. The wife of the original owner was a landscape architect and the grounds are wonderful.

It's really quite simple in design but so, so lovely. Proves that "good bones" in a garden are the most important parts. Thank you for giving me something beautiful to look at, think about and laugh about each day when I check in here.

What's cooking lately?

Oh so that's my problem, I should have married a landscape architect....too late now. This is lovely and so is yours plus I know we'd all feel comfortable and less intimidated by "The Cottage" grounds.

They are anything but weeds! I love clover; and so do the bees!

Stunning! I need the help of whoever designed this! It's got a lovely, old English garden feel to it, and I adore it!
