Crovie, a small village in Aberdeenshire, is comprised of a single row of houses directly on the sea. Unlike the similar neighboring village called Pennan, Crovie is situated on such a narrow ledge that any cars have to be left at the south of the village. The cars in the foreground are parked as close as you can get by automobile. Hope you don't have something large to deliver on foot to the last cottage. Wow, what an amazing village!

Well you can't get much closer to the water and still be on land than this village. They must be vacation homes don't you think?
I've been to Crovie! It is lovely. There are vacation homes there but most homes are private residence. We were given a lovely tour of one of the vacation homes AND were invited into another. To get your shopping or any other load, homes have wheelbarrows to tote things down. I just looked back thru my blog and realized I forgot to blog about our day there! I'll have to fix that soon!
Teri -- Thanks for the first-hand information about this delightful seaside village in Scotland.
