The Standoff. Cat vs. Dog

Tabitha never misses an opportunity to torture poor Webster. She is sitting in his favorite spot and he's afraid to walk past her. He turned around and made a complete circle from the kitchen to see if his spot was still occupied.

Fortunately, it was available once again. Tabitha was just exercising her power over the world's sweetest dog.

She's a little devil, isn't she?

Don't you wonder how Tabitha communicates this control over Webster? Clearly, she isn't an aggressive cat. Yet, she certainly has his respect. I love them both.

Ah, the Cats and the Dogs. Like the Martins and the Coys. When I was. Girl, we had a cat and dog who actually got along: Sandy and Kitty. They slept together in a furry pile and sat shoulder-to-shoulder watching the traffic go by on the highway. Sigh.

She was exercising her power; but then she ceded to the world's sweetest dog. And He IS!!!!

Webster is the world's sweetest dog!!!

Linda and Penelope...
If Webster had dared walk past her, she definitely would have swatted him and hissed just to show she is the boss. Her claws would not have been out though. She lets him eat her food and that's all he really cares about. He hasn't a single Alpha gene in his body and he's a peace lover. They get along very well without being best friends.

Aww. That last comment made me feel better. I was hoping Tabitha had a soft side for Webster (sharing her food) ;). He seems like the sweetest little buddy ever.
