I missed CALL THE MIDWIFE HOLIDAY SPECIAL 2014

Did you see it or did you miss it too?
It aired on Christmas Day.
You can watch it online at PBS here.

This will be the perfect program to watch while waiting for Downton Abbey later tonight. It's 75 minutes long. I'm so glad my friends told me about it this morning. See you later. xo

I was home on Christmas from extended family celebrations with a sick daughter, and we enjoyed this special together. It was the highlight of our day!

I found the show after DA interesting, the one about the consultant for all the details about Edwardian mannerisms, dress, etc. I suspect many of the details he points out go unnoticed. I wish Mr. Fellows paid more attention to Edwardian mindsets in the script. So much of it seems just modern day sensationalism to me. I think I enjoyed to post-show better than DA itself. But, I'll be watching every last one of them.

Thanks for the tip about Call the Midwife...I missed it, too but was able to stream it on my Roku. Do you know about Roku Rosemary? It's a little box you plug into the TV and you can get so many different channels...some free some at a pretty low cost. I gave up my Netflix DVD subscription for which I was paying $17.00/month and changed to Netflix streaming for $7.oo/month...cheaper andhundreds of immediate choices. I also subscribe to Acorn, which is my favorite - 4.99/month for British TV...I've discovered so many fantastic shows. I can binge as many seasons as they have. Right now, I'm eagerly waiting for the new season of Foyle's War, which I just LOVE.

Finally, I must confess dissappointment in Downton Abbey...it's really lost the zest of it's writing. I've seen the entire S5 and it doesn't really get better. Loosing Dan Stevens and Jessica Brown Findlay has hurt them more than they thought it would, I believe...

Sweet Dreams :)
