Boxing Day is a holiday traditionally celebrated the day following Christmas Day, when servants and tradespeople would receive gifts, known as a "Christmas box", from their bosses or employers, in the United Kingdom, Barbados, Canada, Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, Kenya, South Africa, Guyana, Trinidad and Tobago, Jamaica and other former British colonies. Today, Boxing Day is the bank holiday that generally takes place on 26 December. Google images.

Well I, (cook, housekeeper, laundress, yard keeper, maid of all household chores) didn't get a gift unless completely taking the the day off counts.
Okay, that cat boxing gif is GREAT and please tell me you've been receiving the cards I've sent you this year all addressed to the wrong PO box...geez...I can't believe I haven't got that straightened out yet in our address list.
The Queen Vee -- Victoria...I know what you mean since I'm all of those things too. I took the day off today and made a big pot of soup with the ham bone I brought home from Christmas Eve dinner. I had ham on Christmas Day too with another group of friends so I was well taken care of this year.
Sadly, no cards from you this year. I have all new people at my Post Office this year who go by box number only. They never even look at the name. My old Postmaster always looked at the name and he knew everybody's box number by heart.
I hope your Christmas was wonderful even though you said it did you in this year. So many people said the same thing and it exhausted me too even though I did very little except wrap packages and deliver them.
Next year I shall be more prepared. Christmas always comes and I'm never ready. I could never do what you do with your big wonderful family.
The mild weather was most welcome this year!

Happy Christmas and thanks for the foxhounds I just love them.
