The Wisdom of Shakespeare

I love the graphic that illustrates this quote by William Shakespeare. Everything went well at my Certificate of Occupancy inspection today and the carpenter bee treatment. We had some fierce blowing rain late this afternoon and I had quite a time cleaning up my wet floors and windowsills. I had open windows all over the house and couldn't close them quickly enough. It really cooled things off for my after supper walk with the Wonder Dog.

I found a photo of the bedroom in the house where my new love seats once lived. I'm still over the moon with joy over them. Webster is still being a perfect gentleman and is respecting them too.

My tall brass lamps were once in the dining room of this lovely house.

Here are the furnishings in my cottage for those of you who missed my previous posts.
I think everything looks perfectly cozy at my house, don't you? Enjoy your Friday evening. I'll be stretching out on the love seat by the window pretty soon, watching my small television. I changed the artwork to the right of the window. See photo here. See you tomorrow. xo

It's a beautiful home but I think the lamps and the sofa/love seats look much better in your cottage. it's fun to see how they were used in their original location. I remain very happy that you were able to purchase them.

The Queen Vee -- Victoria....I think they look better in my cottage too. More homey and hand-picked by the homeowner (me). Welcome back from your Western trip. I hope you are almost caught up on your sleep by now. There's nothing like your own bed, is there? It's good training for your grandson to be cutting the grass for you. That's something you NEVER see around here. Everyone but me has a landscaper. Have a great weekend. xo, Rosemary

'Twas a lovely blue bedroom, but the sofas do look much cozier in your home. I would be curious as to your thoughts about the "decorated" beds (which you must see when showing houses) which have 6, 8, and sometimes more pillows, plus layers of linen, blankets and a comforter. I've stayed in a home in that situation before, and when bedtime came, there was nowhere to put it all except on the floor.

Hello Rosemary,

I prefer the location in your cosy cottage for the sofa's and the lamps.
Enjoy it!!!!

Have a nice weekend.
Thea.

JudyMac....I know what you mean about the whole linen closet on the bed. Also too many pillows on the sofa, so many there's no place to sit. I still see over-made beds on house tours. I'm not too keen on the staged look as I am way too practical. I try to make up my bed every day but don't want to spend too much time on the process.
There should always be a bench at the foot of the bed for decorative pillows not meant for sleeping. It's a shame to have to throw them on the floor.
Have a great weekend. xo, Rosemary

Hello Rosemary: I'm new to your site, and I love it. It is charming, cozy, and heartwarming. I love wonder dog, also. I love seeing pics of your beautiful cottage. You have stellar taste! Also not a fan of staging. It looks pretentious and unloved. I much prefer a cozy, loved home. Bev
