Proceed Gently

Here's an article about this new series that should be coming to your PBS station soon. Inspector George Gently, read here. So far, only 3 episodes have aired in the US. I'm not even sure I watched the first one. You can catch up on Hulu free. I hope you can find it in your area. xo

This show sounds great, so far no sign of it here. In England, I used to watch Martin Shaw in Judge John Deed. I loved it and waited years, but it never came to America. I couldn't find it anywhere to rent.

So I shall lobby our local PBS station soon. Thanks for passing along this new show.

Karen in VA....You can watch it free on Hulu. I was right about not having watched the premier episode of Inspector George Gently. I am in the midst of watching it now. You don't have to sign up for anything....it's completely free!

There are three episodes posted so far. I have begun to believe I can never move because of the great programs I get here in my cottage!!! I'll post a picture or two of my rearranged living room tonight.

Thanks Rosemary ... I was going to use your link, hopefully I can get it on my iPad. Once I tried Hulu and had to pay, and it seemed complicated so I opted out. I will report back to you. (Still seething over no British Antiques Roadshow) ... Thanks as always...

Karen...I watched on my laptop. I think you would need an app for the iPad. Do you have Netflix? I don't but they might have it. xo, Rosemary

Flo....
Thank you. You are now in charge of finding all the rest of the episodes for Season 1.
I found a link that seems to have all the other seasons and it's free but you have to sign up for the account.

I love this series too and agree that these two men are perfectly drawn.
I watched episode 5 last night. I am so thankful for my PBS stations.

There are only 6 episodes in Season One. Thanks for your good work. Maybe episode 5 will be on YouTube soon because we just got it last night up here. It really doesn't matter if you watch 6 first because each episode is a complete story.
Now I'm off to watch the conclusion of Endeavour.

"There are only 6 episodes in Season One."

Ahhh! Oh gosh, I got confused!

So when you said I was in charge of finding all the rest of the Eps in Season 1, you just meant I needed to find Ep #6!

So confusing!

What I learned from the Downton saturation is not to watch anything to do with Gently aside from the Eps. No Geraldo with Gently interviews. No Oprah with the Gently cast. No Gently outtakes. No Gently comes to Hollywood, none of it, I just want to keep the pure characters in the pure narrative. So I am keeping my Gently blinders on!

Nite nite!

Flo...When I put you in charge of Season 1, I did not know the number of episodes. You would have had a very hard time finding Episode 7. Smile.
I am glad you are enjoying the series as much as I am.

I DO love it, some of the best moments are the seduction attempts made on Mr. Gently, don't you just smile how he graciously turns them all down, one by one! And Mr. Baccus and his wife, will they stay married even though it seems he keeps setting off "on a promise"?

This show is a GEM. I owe you BIG!
