New Discovery at My Cottage

I am so happy to get reacquainted with this large wooden charger.
It's perfect in the center of my large farm table in my kitchen. It has been on top of the downstairs refrigerator since 2004 when I moved in. I cleaned out that fridge a couple of weeks ago and washed it down inside and out. Now the charger has a place of honor again instead of being stashed in an unseen place. I've been doing all sorts of rearranging lately and it's nice to see my things with new eyes. I had one of these ripe bananas in a smoothie this morning with soy milk, chia seeds, a blob of peanut butter, and a few ice cubes. It was delicious. my iphone photo

Rosemary, you should pull together all of your recipes for healthy little meals. You have a true knack for assembling simple ingredients on hand to come up with a meal that is truly appealing.

Also, love to charger.

I believe some of your endeavor is catching. I find myself in a mini sorting/tossing/donating mode.

Thank you for all of your great inspirations

Linda....I have bags of donations to deliver tomorrow to various charity thrift shops. It makes me so happy to take things away from my cottage instead of bringing more stuff in!!! It must be something in the stars because you are doing the same thing. I love your description -- sorting/tossing/donating. I'm doing all three too! Feels good, doesn't it? It's a dark, dreary, rainy day so I'll just keep at it all day long!

I completely agree with Linda. I put bananas in my smoothies all the time but had never thought to add a blob of peanut butter in them. I'm going to have to try that tomorrow! Thank you for the idea.

Spring has finally arrived here in the midwest - so, I'll be doing some cleaning and sorting this weekend as well. I am so ready to change my closets out to put my winter clothes away and bring out my warm weather clothes. I always end up finding lots of things to donate whenever I do this every year.

I'm with you, I've been paring down and weeding out for weeks now. I have to strike while the mood is present. I'm making progress and it feels so great.

I love discovering old treasures within my home and finding new ways to use them. I'm of the age where I don't really need to acquire new things. So happy to be able to use what I already have. Love the charger!
