I created this illustrated quote back in 2010 Via
Today is widely celebrated as William Shakespeare's 450th birthday but it's just a guesstimate according to Time Magazine. It's also a day for mourning for he died on this day too in 1616 at the age of 55.
William Shakespeare was an English poet, playwright and actor, widely regarded as the greatest writer in the English language and the world's pre-eminent dramatist. He is often called England's national poet and the "Bard of Avon". Wikipedia

I think you will love to read how many of the expressions we use today are from Shakespeare. There are 50 of them listed here. I found this today in honor of his 450th birthday.

Do you know what he died of? I'm always reminded how prolific he was in this writing.

Karen...This is all I could find out about Shakespeare's death: Unfortunately, Shakespeare's death at the age of fifty-two will almost surely remain a mystery. We do know, however, that in a world where plague, syphilis, typhus, scurvy, tuberculosis, smallpox, malaria, dysentery and toothaches shortened a Londoner's life expectancy to thirty-five years, Shakespeare fared quite well, leading a relatively long and healthy life.
