My New Jersey Woods

It's going to be 60° today so the melting will continue.

I have an office meeting this morning. I dare not hope for another open house tour like the stone house last week. You ca be sure I'll take you along if there is anything interesting.

This is the morning sky I looked out upon while I was waiting for my coffee to finish brewing.

Living up here in northern Minnesota, I think the one thing I really miss of what we left behind in Illinois (years and years ago) is the deciduous trees. Love, love, love the pictures of your woods.

Mama Pea....I love my woods too. I didn't love them so much after Hurricane Sandy though since one of the trees came crashing down and missed my house by a fraction of an inch. I was so lucky. Do you just have evergreens in Minnesota? They are beautiful too.

Today I shoveled the last piles of snow sitting in the shade out into the sunny parts of yard and drive. With the warm temps, it nearly all disappeared. The snowdrops are rejoycing. I put away the salt. Dragged all my potted bulbs and perennials from their sheltered winter home out into the sun. And, of course, there is now more snow forecast. Will it ever end?

The clouds look beautifully confused, like they didn't quite know which form they wanted to take.
