Neighboring House

Every house looks better in the snow, doesn't it? I wish that tree that hides the front door had been one of the trees Sandy took down. It's a grand looking house but I also wish it had been elevated to be higher than the front of the property when it was built in 1940 instead of being on a lower plane. Anyway, I love seeing it when I pull out of my driveway.
I went food shopping and now I'm ready for the snow tomorrow. As I've said in the past, I'm not a sports fan so I will be glued to PBS for Downton Abbey and Sherlock while the rest of the world watches Super Bowl 48. I am very glad we had such a nice day today weatherwise that continues into the night for the football game hosted in New Jersey. Enjoy your evening and I hope you house contains more than one TV so everyone will be happy tonight.

Lovely home! And I'll be right with you! I'll be watching Downton Abbey! Enjoy!

Yes, I will be watching Downton also. No football here.

Snow again tomorrow? We are having the big melt, thank heavens. I used to love it in CT, but the roads were plowed. This was insane until the melt started.

We shall have a good evening with our British pals. P.S. I loved Fleming on BBC America, Domonic Cooper is great, but I first liked him in An Education.

Lol, now I know why you refer to your house as a cottage. I have always thought it was a big house to be called a cottage, but the house accross the street explains everything! Sunday night, my favourite night for television. Really unhappy there are so few episodes of Sherlock tho', I love that show. Cosy up and enjoy.

What a pretty house. I agree, it would be even more noticible if it had been built on a higher part of the property.

I don't know much about architecture, so I don't know what you call this style, but I love it. It's so handsome in an understated way.
Am also glad we have more than one tv, as tastes run in two directions here. I'm happy we PBS fans have a double header tonight. Chores done, one last peek at emails, then curling up in front of the tv! aahhh

Stay safe and cozy. It looks like you are in for another significant amount of snow.

Thank you for your wonderful blog.

Hugs to Webster.

I'm not a big sports fan either, but my youngest son is a Seahawks fan so I've become one, too, through him! What a game for the Hawks! There was a lot of "woo-hoo" at our house last night! As Downton and Sherlock are must see TV for me, they were recorded. Beautiful house, thanks for showing it.
