Yikes! This is what Webster and Tabitha had to plow through this morning. My walk was perfectly clean when I went to bed last night and boy was I shocked when I opened the front door. I thought it was just raining but it's a rain and sleet mix about 6" deep. I have to go out and knock it off the two giant boxwood at the end of the walk. This stuff is way too heavy for them. I hope none of their thick woody stems have split, fingers crossed.
Be safe and don't go out if you don't have to.

I look at your blog and see all that beautiful snow and all the rain you are getting and can't believe how the weather has become...I live in CA and we have had no rain since 2012..we are now on heavy water ration and no one can water their beautiful gardens this year...too bad I can't have some of your snow and I send you 70 degree's and sunshine!
Anon...Sounds like a good trade to me. We had a very dry fall but this snow is making up for it. I never complain about the weather because there's nothing we can do about it. I hope California gets some much needed rain soon.

Ugh, the kind of weather you're having right now is the worst! Hoping it doesn't last too long for you and that a warm-up in the temp takes it all away soon. Be careful even walking out and about to do what you must do. (You don't have the toenails on your "paws" for gripping like Webster and Tabitha do!)
I dare say, this must have been a surprise . . . hope you can stay put until those predictable plows clear your road.

Yikes! Not wanting that for a Winter Wonderland and you know how much I like white. But I have sooo enjoyed all your snow pictures.
.. hang in there ... it's been a difficult winter for you all in the NE ... my friend in CT just told me there is another really big one coming this weekend ...

Karen in VA -- I can handle it. I've been plowed. I shoveled my walk and the county does my road every half hour. Could be worse. Did you hear that NY Governor Cuomo closed I-84? Shut down completely! WOW.

Last year was such a mild winter, at least for the mid-Atlantic, so this year old mom nature is making up for it. We woke up ICED this morning which made for another school snow day, a treacherous early morning drive for those who HAD to get somewhere and a wonderful photo opportunity. My VA grands were delighted, as for myself, I took one look very early in the morn at all the frosted glistening beauty and went back to bed. By the time I was dressed and ready to go I'd missed the chance for a great photo.
